Abingdon, VA Abingdon, VA Part-time Part-time $12 an hour $12 an hour 21 hours ago 21 hours ago 21 hours ago Summary The Youth Development Professional supervise members in the program area, while assisting with and maintaining club program goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of members.
Duties Ensure that members actively participate in the program area and activities for which you are responsible.
Encourage members to seek advice and guidance from staff regarding problems.
Ensure that children receive caring supervision, respect, and recognition for their efforts.
Assist Site Coordinators in organizing and implementing a range of program services and activities for enrolled members and visitors that are fun, instructional, and competitive, and that incorporate team-building skills.
Initiate new programs with the approval of the Program Director; make recommendations concerning programs.
Ensure safety, positive values, and ethical behavior through quality in programs, and the Club's appearance at all times.
Guide members; act as a role model.
Assist in maintaining inventories of all program equipment and supplies.
Ensure all related supplies and equipment are maintained in good order (cleanliness and upkeep of Program Area after usage) Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High School diploma or GED.
Background Check/Fingerprinting Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
We will assist in getting these certifications if not already certified.
Pass a Drug Screening test.
Demonstrate creative, organizational, and project management abilities.
Ability to deal effectively with members, including disciplinary issues.
Demonstrated ability in relationship building and working with young people and parents.
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
Ability to deal with the general public.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
