Student Support Specialist - Interchange

Abingdon, VA Abingdon, VA Full-time Full-time $16 an hour $16 an hour Student Support Specialist The purpose of this position is to work collaboratively as part of a School-Based Services team with Highlands Community Services (HCS) and Bristol Public Schools in planning and providing required services to aid in the program's goals and objectives.
The job will follow the schedule of the Washington County Public School System.
Job duties consist of but are not limited to teaching communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and other life skills.
Linking to on-going neighborhood community activities.
Tutoring academics and assisting with homework.
Providing educational consultations to consumers and their families.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of consumers while at the school.

Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Monday-Friday Compensation:
