Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
The CT Tech performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for CT imaging studies on patients from neonates to geriatrics. This indivdiual will operate CT scanner and computer to produce images of specific areas to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Tech shall deal directly with Radiologist with regard to CT scan protocol and scan sequence. The Tech shall provide patient instruction of procedure method. Additionally, the Tech shall inject IV contrast for organ enhancement, under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner. The Tech is responsible for additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Documented training and experience in CT and documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection is required. Candidates hired from outside the hospital, must have a minimum of one year experience in CT scan applications. Candidate must possess willingness and aptitude to process computer-assisted images and learn cross sectional anatomy. Passing an advanced examination for CT certification is recommended, not required.
Valid and active ARRT registered
Radiography (R) and/or Computed Tomography (CT) certified and/or NMTCB Registered (CNMT) technologist
AHA BLS required
