Substance Use Disorder (Abingdon)

Job Description

Crossroads Treatment Centers is currently seeking a Substance Use Care Coordinator in Abingdon, VA. Applicants must have a CSAC or CSAC-A to be considered for this position.


Responsibilities:



  • Completing assessments, ITP's, progress notes and other necessary paperwork associated with managing a caseload of 50 patients.

  • Providing individual and group counseling using Evidence Based Practices.

  • Assisting patients with defining and achieving realistic goals.

  • Conducting monthly drug screenings.

  • Providing crisis interventions as needed.

  • Assisting in peer-to-peer record audits.

  • Ensuring patient confidentiality.

  • Providing supportive counseling in conjunction with Medical and Nursing Services.

  • Contributing to the ongoing assessment and treatment planning process through participation in daily reports, case reviews, and treatment team meetings.


Requirements



  • At least a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling) and at least either 1) one year of substance use related direct experience providing services to individuals with a diagnosis of substance use disorder or 2) a minimum or one year of clinical experience working with individual with co-occurring diagnoses of substance use disorder and mental illness; or

  • Licensure by the Commonwealth as a registered nurse with at least either 1) one year of direct experience providing services to individuals with a diagnosis of substance use disorder or 2) a minimum of one year of clinical experience working with individuals with co-occurring diagnoses of substance use disorder and mental illness; or

  • Board of Counseling Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or CSAC-Assistant under supervision as defined in 18VAC115-30-10 et seq.



  • All substance use care coordination providers must be under the supervision of a buprenorphine waivered practitioner prescribing MAT to the patient in an OTP or OBOT setting.





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
