Abingdon Health & Rehab Center in Abingdon, VA, has a career opportunity for a dynamic Receptionist to welcome visitors and answer phone calls to the Center in a professional, welcoming manner and to provide support and assistance to our Business Office team.?

Successful service excellence candidates will have the following qualifications and ability to:

  • Welcome and direct visitors in a cheerful and professional manner.

  • Answer phone and forward calls.

  • Provide business office support as assigned including processing mail (incoming and outgoing).

  • Schedule resident beauty and barber appointments.

  • Receipt deposits for resident trust and receivables.

  • Provide back-up to Business Office staff as needed.

  • Promote a culture of Service Excellence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Drug Free & EOE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prefer one plus years? office experience.

  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office programs.

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must maintain high level of professionalism.

  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
